Removal of Article 36 for Planned Developments
Article 36 is the Planned Development (PD) Regulations in the Batavia Township Zoning Resolution. This Zoning Resolution serves as the primary tool and resource to regulate and enforce zoning in the Township. Most residents in the Township live in a PD like Lexington Run, Twin Gates, Heritage Farms, Batavia Lakes, Pleasant Acres, and Crosspointe.

Stonelick Ridge Residential Development coming to Batavia Township
The Batavia Township Trustees held a public hearing on November 5, 2025 to review the residential development from Dan Griffin of Stonelick Ridge LLC, for 790 homes on (+/-) 425 acres located at 4632 Ross Road. The project will encompass (+/-) 182 acres of green space and aligns with the approved 2017 Growth Policy Plan, with (+/-)1.8 gross and (+/-)2.7 net residential density.

Drees’ Arborside Residential Development coming to Batavia Township
The Batavia Township Trustees held a public hearing on November 5, 2025 to review the residential development from Drees Homes, for 275 homes on (+/-) 124.2 acres located at eastside of SR 132 north of Judd Road. The project will encompass (+/-) 42.5 acres of green space and aligns with the approved 2017 Growth Policy Plan, with (+/-)2.2 gross and (+/-)2.4 net residential density.

Large Item Pickup
Republic Services has resumed large item pick-up for their customers. As a reminder, this is 3 large items per month and shall not weigh more than 50lbs (each item). The following items are not allowed: Hazardous materials, autos and auto parts, batteries, tires, etc. Mattresses and upholstered furniture must be wrapped and sealed in plastic.
