Parking Regulations for Batavia Township Streets
The Board of Trustees recently enacted Resolution 06-01-2024 for Parking Regulations on Township streets. These regulations are to assist with access for fire & rescue vehicles and snow removal. These regulations apply to all vehicles parking on Batavia Township streets. Some of the regulations are already familiar to residents, such as no parking in cul-de-sacs or no parking on the fire hydrant side of the road. Some changes and newly enforced rules are as follows but please read the full resolution for definitions and clarification:
• No moving van, commercial vehicle, trailers, or semi-trailer shall be permitted to be parked along any Township street other than to load or unload.
• Trailers must be connected to a towing vehicle at all times and for no longer than 2 consecutive days. (This allows you to load and unload for trips, but no permanent storage on street. They can be parked in driveways.)
• PODS and Dumpsters are not permitted to be parked on township streets (they can be parked in driveways)
• Vehicles can only be parked on streets for no longer than seven days (Cars need to be moved/active)
• Vehicles and other items can be towed for violations of these regulations (We will give warnings)
Trailers include, empty trailers, boat trailers and campers. These regulations were enacted to deal with repetitive issues within our community and are in addition to any existing Ohio State Laws or Homeowner Association (HOA) rules. Township enforcement will begin in July 2024. Please contact our office if you have any questions about compliance with these regulations at 513-732-3888 ext. 3.
